Voting Power Boost for Tier Members

Introduction:

We are pleased to present the EtherScore DAO proposal, which aims to empower our engaged community members and contribute to the curation and equity of Web3. This proposal centers around the EtherScore Reputation Tiers system, designed to recognize and reward community engagement and Web3 expertise.

Tier Structure:

Our current tier structure is as follows:

• 🥉 Bronze: Earned with 10 badges
• 🥈 Silver: Earned with 20 badges
• 🥇 Gold: Earned with 40 badges

To maintain alignment with EtherScore's evolving ecosystem, these tier thresholds will be subject to periodic review.

Proposal Details:

The primary focus of this proposal is to enhance the voting power of tier members within the EtherScore DAO. Presently, our governance model follows a 1-badge-1-vote system. However, we believe in granting greater influence to members who actively contribute to our project and possess a strong understanding of Web3 principles.

Proposed Voting Power Increases:

After extensive discussions with our DAO members, we propose the following options for increasing the voting power of tier members:

• Option a) 🥉 Bronze = +1, 🥈 Silver = +2, 🥇 Gold = +5
• Option b) 🥉 Bronze = +1, 🥈 Silver = +3, 🥇 Gold = +7
• Option c) 🥉 Bronze = +2, 🥈 Silver = +3, 🥇 Gold = +5
• Option d) 🥉 Bronze = +3, 🥈 Silver = +5, 🥇 Gold = +7
• Option e) 🥉 Bronze = +3, 🥈 Silver = +5, 🥇 Gold = +10
• Option f) 10% of tiers (e.g., 🥉 +1, 🥈 +2, 🥇 +4)
