EtherScore Attestations - Pricing model & Discounts

Summary

This proposal introduces the upcoming EtherScore Attestations, aimed at recognizing community engagement and Web3 expertise. Mintable on Base mainnet, these attestations will enable users to showcase their onchain reputations and achievements.

To prevent spamming and maintain the quality of the community, attestations will require a minting fee and an update fee. These fees will be subject to tiered discounts based on each user’s EtherScore Reputation Tier (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold). The higher a user’s onchain reputation, the lower the cost of their attestations.

We are seeking the community's input to determine the appropriate pricing model for the discounts from the four options below:

Pricing and Discount Options

1. Attestation creation/update = 0.0015/0.0005 Ξ | Discount (linear)
   Bronze: 10% -> Diamond: 50%

2. Attestation creation/update = 0.002/0.001 Ξ | Discount (linear)
   Bronze: 15% -> Diamond: 75%

3. Attestation creation/update = 0.0015/0.0005 Ξ | Discount (logarithmic)
   Bronze: 0% -> Diamond: 50%

4. Attestation creation/update = 0.002/0.001 Ξ | Discount (logarithmic)
   Bronze: 0% -> Diamond: 75%

The selected option will be implemented at the time of the EtherScore Tier Attestation launch, which will occur after the conclusion of this proposal.

Proposal Context

In order to bring EtherScore reputation to Base mainnet for all our loyal users, we’re glad to soon propose the ability to mint attestations of their onchain reputation (badge count, rank, tier, etc.). These attestations will be the first step to unlocking tangible onchain integrations and benefits for the EtherScore community.

We have decided to keep the attestation price affordable for everyone. In addition, users will receive a discount at minting based on their EtherScore reputation tier, as a way to recognize their onchain activity and contribution.
