Incentivizing Community Engagement Through Gamification

Proposal Summary:

This proposal seeks to implement a gamification system within our DAO to incentivize community engagement and foster a more active, participatory environment. By introducing tiered rewards for members based on their level of involvement, we aim to increase participation in governance, forum discussions, and project contributions.

Objective:

1.	Encourage higher levels of participation in the DAO’s decision-making process.
2.	Reward community members for their contributions to the DAO, whether through governance, project work, or social engagement.
3.	Create a sustainable, fun, and engaging way to retain active members.

Background:

Over the past few months, we have observed a steady decline in active participation in governance proposals, community discussions, and project work. While our community remains dedicated, a system that actively encourages and rewards involvement can improve both the quality and quantity of engagement.

Proposal Details:

1. Introduction of Engagement Levels and Rewards:

We propose creating an engagement-based reward system with the following tiers:

•	Tier 1: Newcomer

Criteria: • Join the DAO • Participate in 1 proposal discussion • Follow the DAO on social media Reward: Newcomer NFT Badge and 10 DAO Tokens • Tier 2: Active Contributor Criteria: • Vote on at least 5 governance proposals • Participate in at least 3 community discussions • Complete one project task (e.g., writing, coding, designing) Reward: Contributor NFT Badge, 50 DAO Tokens, and access to exclusive community calls • Tier 3: Core Member Criteria: • Lead or co-lead a project or proposal • Actively contribute to ongoing initiatives for 3 months • Engage in mentoring newcomers Reward: Core Member NFT Badge, 200 DAO Tokens, voting power boost, and project budget to support new ideas

2. Gamification Mechanics:

Members will earn points for different actions within the DAO, which can later be exchanged for rewards:

•	Voting on proposals: 10 points
•	Submitting a proposal: 50 points
•	Participating in forum discussions: 5 points per meaningful contribution
•	Completing a project task: 100 points
•	Mentoring new members: 30 points

Points can be redeemed for unique NFTs, increased voting power, access to exclusive events, or even DAO tokens.

3. Transparency and Automation:

To ensure transparency and fairness, we propose implementing a smart contract system to automatically track points, badges, and rewards distribution. Members will be able to monitor their progress in real-time through a dashboard.

Budget and Timeline:

•	Development Costs: $25,000 for smart contract development, front-end interface, and testing.
•	Token Allocations: 50,000 DAO Tokens set aside for the reward pool over the next year.
