Dynamic pay2post fee

Voting ended about 2 years agoFailed

Objective: To address community concerns related to the current fixed pay2post fee on r/ethtrader, this proposal aims to mitigate the current imperfections to the current system by implementing a dynamic pay2post fee formula based on post ratio and score.

The formula: After posting my initial poll proposal, u/aminok suggested to use a simpler formula, stating that it would make the fee easier to calculate and would make it easier to understand for newcomers. Fee= Post Ratio × (*initial_pay2post_fee/initial_ratio) Fee= Post Ratio × (250/64) Fee= Post Ratio × 3.9 quoting u/aminok: "I suggest we try the simple formula for a few months, and then re-assess if we need to consider a more complex formula" The initial ratio of 64 was approximated from the csv files from the 108 and 118 distributions provided by aminok. For example, the fee would have been approximately 215 Donuts for round 129, and 234 Donuts for round 130. Additionally, a maximum of 250 Donuts would be implemented for the pay2post fee.

Voting options: [YES] Implement Dynamic Pay2Post Fee Formula: Fee= Post Ratio × 3.9 Introduce the dynamic fee formula based on post ratio, with a maximum fee of 250 Donuts. // [NO] Maintain Current Pay2Post Fee Structure Posts will continue to subject a fixed 250 Donut Fee
