Dynamic pay2post fee: target_upvote of 2.5

Voting ended about 2 years agoSucceeded

Objective:

To address community concerns related to the current fixed pay2post fee on r/ethtrader, this proposal aims to mitigate the current imperfections to the current system by implementing a dynamic pay2post fee formula based on post ratio and score.

The formula: After posting u/Prog132487's initial poll proposal, I suggested to use a simpler formula, stating that it would make the fee easier to calculate and would make it easier to understand for newcomers.

Fee= Post Ratio × Target Upvote

As described by u/FattestLion:

"In the event that it doesn't pass, what if we just made a dynamic Pay2Post where the figure = 3 x (last cycle post ratio)

This means you would need an upvote rating of +4 to breakeven based on the previous round. While it is not perfect as every round post ratio changes, at least it will scale with a 1 cycle lag."

I would suggest making the target upvote 2.5 instead of 3, so that any posts that receives 4+ upvotes (3+ if you exclude the submitter's own upvote) sees a Donut profit.

Additionally, a maximum of 250 Donuts would be implemented for the pay2post fee.

Voting options:

[YES] Implement Dynamic Pay2Post Fee Formula: Fee = Post Ratio × 2.5 Introduce the dynamic fee formula based on post ratio, with a maximum fee of 250 Donuts.

[NO] Maintain Current Pay2Post Fee Structure Posts will continue to be subject to a fixed 250 Donut fee.
