IQIP-13: Setup Rewards for the IQ Airdrop Everipedia Launch Contest

Voting ended over 3 years agoSucceeded

Background

The Everipedia team has been working on creating a new site for Everipedia that is fully Web3 and runs on Ethereum L2. As you know Everipedia already has a wealth of great content on topics ranging from Cryptocurrencies like Ethereum to NFTs like Bored Ape Yacht Club to DeFi projects like Frax Finance to People in Crypto like Vitalik Buterin. The expansion onto ETH L2 will make it easy for anyone in the Ethereum ecosystem to get involved and contribute. As part of the expansion, the new site will also integrate a ton of new and innovative features that will make the site more fun and transparent. Stay tuned for more updates.

Plan

This proposal involves creating a contest to celebrate the new site called the IQ Airdrop Everipedia Launch Contest where the first 1000 editors who create high-quality Everipedia pages about the blockchain space will each receive 5000 IQ. The IQ rewards for this contest will motivate the crypto community to try out the new site and bring in a lot of new editors. The 1000 new pages that will be created as part of this contest will enrich the Everipedia encyclopedia and draw in more readers bringing greater attention to the site and the IQ token. To fund this contest this proposal involves minting 5 million IQ.

Benefits

The contest should bring in new editors, bring greater attention to the new Everipedia site, and allow more people to learn about the IQ ecosystem. The 1000 quality pages that will be created during the contest should also drive long-term value to the site by increasing the breadth of the Everipedia encyclopedia.
