Compared with the staking in governance, the reward in farming has a greater direct incentive effect on the overall economic cycle of the Evolution Land. The rewards in the farm will significantly increase the depth of the liquidity pool. However, the staking rewards in governance are not fed back to the governance system. The benefit brought by the staking of KTON is far less than the 30% of the game income we spend on this as a cost.

Why cancel the staking?

Staking and governance will inevitably bring functional coupling. The governance system has become a collection of two systems. When we need to deploy a governance system on a new continent or make changes to the current governance functions, there will be a huge amount of development when adjusting. The current Evolution Land governance function is based on Snapshot, and the delay in the launch of governance in the HECO continent is also due to this complex coupling, which requires a high cost to implement. If we lift this shackle and directly use the Snapshot, we can quickly deploy to the new continent - just need to do some configuration.

Why choose snapshots?

When we consider removing this part of the staking reward, we must take into account the calculation method of voting power, so we propose to realize the calculation of this part of voting rights through snapshots, which is the basic function provided by Snapshot, which is relatively fair and reasonable.
