The goal of this proposal is to elect individuals that will carry out the role of DAO Mods. Without DAO Mods the DAO cannot operate effectively as there needs to be those with permissions to either push proposals to the next phase or deny proposals.
The DAO is to conduct a democratic and decentralized election of individuals who will carry out the role of Ferrum DAO Mod. This is the first step in setting up a properly constructed DAO. There needs to be accountable and proactive individuals with permissions to push agreed upon proposals through to the next phase such as voting or execution of said proposal. On the same token, they also need to have the ability to deny proposals that don't meet certain criteria and/or did not receive sufficient support from the members of the DAO. The bulk of the permissions that DAO Mods are granted is via Discord.
DAO Mods are democratically elected individuals who do not have the power to execute their own ideas, as is the case with a representative democracy. Rather they only have ability to carry out the WILL of the people as is the case with a direct democracy. This means that by electing these individuals we are setting up the proper structure to generate free flowing movement of ideas within the community.
One potential risk with electing a group of individuals from the nominated candidates is that there is no way to know if such individuals are truly qualified until we see them in action. If the DAO Mods do not do a good job collectively, then we could potentially see long durations during and/or proposals, the execution of such proposals and/or otherwise.
In the event that a DAO Mod is not performing optimally, Qualified Voters should take it upon themselves to draft frc-sug's that would aim to replace low performers.
This proposal requires little to zero dev work and very little time on behalf of everyone involved at Ferrum aside from the DAO Mods themselves. We anticipate that DAO Mods may spend around 2 hours per week assisting with the various tasks related to expediting, approving, or denying proposals. Suggested Requirements for DAO Mods
The proposal's Execution Plan (see below) must be executed within 2 days after official vote is completed. After the vote for these individuals has taken place, DAO Mods can begin carrying out the responsibilities associated with the role, effective immediately.

From a holistic level DAO Mods are a non starter for the sheer existence of DAOs. Until now, there has not been a Ferrum DAO. After this election, the DAO goes from being an idea to something real. DAO Mods and ultimately the DAO will catalyze the movement of ideas within the community and bring forth those that gain the most buy in from the community. The impact is accountability, decentralization, democratization and efficiency.
Since inception, Ferrum has long been a proponent of the further decentralization of the decision making for the network. The values at Ferrum have always been community centric ones. Properly elected and competent DAO Mods who also align with Ferrum's mission allow for others in the community to be given the proper stage to propose their ideas, gain buy in from their peers, and execute.
Step 1 - Current DAO Mods will assign the @Dao Mods role to elected mods
Step 2 - Individual mods will need to review the responsibilities of the role. More info can be found in the Governance section of the Whitepaper. Specifically the Steps section outlines everything that a DAO Mod will have the ability to do and the responsibility of doing. https://docs.ferrumnetwork.io/ferrum-network-ecosystem/governance/ferrum-network-dao/proposal-creation/steps
