Proposal for Adoption of a Larva Labs Commissioned Artwork as the Fingerprints Membership NFT

TL;DR: Decide if we want to have Larva Labs as the creators of the artwork of the proposed membership NFT.

Context

Fingerprints is voting to decide whether to move from an ERC-20 token type governance to a ERC-721 one. If this vote is approved, the artwork on the membership NFT must also be decided.

Larva Labs (Matt Hall and John Watkinson) have agreed to partner with Fingerprints for the development of the artwork that could be featured on this new membership NFT, thus elevating our membership to a piece of art on its own.

As the creators of Autoglyphs, CryptoPunks, Meebits and many other influential projects, we would be thrilled to partner with them for this landmark transition. As part of the partnership, Matt and John will also become members of Fingerprints.

Proposal

1. Commission Larva Labs to develop the Artwork that will be used as Fingerprints membership NFT

   a. different NFTs shall not have rarity traits, so as to standardize all memberships

   b. the specific artwork proposed will be shared on the Fingerprints Discord

2. Budget

   a. 150 ETH + 50k $PRINTS to be paid to Larva Labs for creating the artwork and allowing it to be used as our membership NFT
