Polygon & Matic's simple explanation
Polygon Network is a decentralized protocol for connecting Ethereum-compatible blockchain networks. Polygon plans to provide Ethereum users a faster and cheaper transactions which are blockchains that run alongside the Ethereum main chain.
MATIC is an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain that can be used to pay fees on using the Polygon Network, it can be used for staking in order to participate in the network.
