Proposal 12 - Postponing BAYC Giveaway

Should FODL DAO postpone the BAYC giveaway until $500m TVL?

The NFT Giveaway by FODL has been running for over one month now. At the time of writing, 556 have entered! The FODL Team loves to see this early engagement, but we have not seen the growth of TVL and members that we were hoping for.

With new updates coming soon and more focus on marketing, the FODL team proposes to continue the BAKC NFTs giveaway, while postponing the BAYC NFT until we reach $500m TVL. We want this giveaway to have maximum impact from a social engagement perspective, so pushing until a critical user mass is ideal. With Avalanche FODL coming in May and a ramp-up of marketing efforts planned over the next 2 months, we can expect better organic media coverage from the event given our TVL and cross-chain nature.

As we’ve stated, the FODL team believes it’s in the best interest of FODL platform to delay the giveaway. However, as FODL is a DAO, this decision is ultimately up to the FODL community. Please take a moment to reflect on this question and vote accordingly.

In lieu of the delay of the BAYC prize, the FODL team proposes that we giveaway the Titmouse minted Mega Trippy Reveal video NFT, limited to only 5 pieces. The other 4 holders of this NFT are The Chainsmokers, Titmouse, AxelApe, and 0xb1.
