Feckless has already delivered multiple Forgotten Runes–based games including Shucks: Pumpkin Panic, The Cumberdome, and Mimicwood — all created and shipped without external funding, purely for the love of the lore. If he could deliver all of that with no budget, this proposal outlines what becomes possible with proper funding and support.
Feckless is responsible for overall game design, systems programming, creative direction, and project execution through Early Access launch.
Davide has been illustrating colorful, captivating scenes of Wizards for Feckless and others in the cult for nearly two years. His playful, modern illustration style will be used for the game’s cover art and promotional materials, bringing broader appeal while complementing the pixel-art aesthetic of the game itself.
Hundaes is an electronic music producer whose work has been featured in Netflix productions and AAA games, and sampled by major artists in the electronic music space. His talents will be used for sound effect production, audio mixing, and the composition of an entirely original soundtrack for Breadventure.
Story and character inspiration will be drawn from the ever-growing Book of Lore, with relevant lore writers included in the development process.
Jitcy will provide game mechanic and influencer outreach consultation.
Elf J. Trul will provide lore support and art assets as needed.
Breadventure is a party-based story adventure JRPG set in the Forgotten Runes universe. We are seeking funding to complete the art assets, story writing, and marketing materials needed to launch a successful Steam Early Access campaign and eventual Kickstarter.
An alpha build is available now as proof of concept, demonstrating functional gameplay mechanics, combat systems, and our commitment to quality execution. With this foundation established, we will focus on creating a polished Steam demo and Act 1 for Early Access release.
This strategic approach allows us to build community momentum while generating revenue to support continued development.
We are requesting $45,900 to complete the project through Early Access launch. In return, all funds will be repaid post-launch plus a 20% royalty on net revenue from game sales.
