Adopt Founder's DAO gitbook, propose annual communications committee budget, and backpayment for Bevs and Villainsky

Abstract:

The communications committee proposes the following:

-Adopting a gitbook for presentation of the DAO’s assets (https://foundersdao.gitbook.io) -An annual budget for maintaining the gitbook and creative tools -Back pay for July for Villainsky and Bevs not included in the original proposal -Total costs for all of the above $2338 to be paid in $ape coin. $480 for gitbook subscription, $858 for creative tools, $1000 for backpay.

Gitbook: The communications committee would like to propose adopting this gitbook that we have created as the official presentation of the Founder’s DAO wallet assets. Link here: https://foundersdao.gitbook.io/founders-dao-assets/

We have created a curated selection of the DAO’s holdings with descriptions of their history and significance. This has been posted in the DAO-feedback channel and on the community discourse for the last week and has received positive feedback.

We believe that maintaining an official presentation of our DAO’s holdings is important both for informing the community about what assets we hold, as well as for recruiting new members. Gitbook provides an easily updatable and customizable interface for this task.

Annual Communications Committee budget:

As part of this proposal we would like to propose a small annual budget for the communications committee for maintaining the gitbook and several other subscriptions and products we feel are needed to best do the work of promoting the Founder’s DAO and keeping our members informed and engaged.

The total proposed budget for the next year is $1238, which includes the following: -Microphone for Villainsky for hosting community spaces ($108) -$500 for subscriptions to music and special effects platforms and purchase of graphic assets for video content -$250/year for a photoshop license -$480 for a group gitbook subscription

July Back Payment for Bevs and Villainsky:

The original proposal to switch payment of communications committee members to $500/month in $ape coin mistakenly did not include back payment for Bevs and Villainsky, despite having served on the committee in July. As part of this proposal we request authorization to include them on the July back-payment at a total cost of $1000 in $ape.

Proposed benefits: -The gitbook will provide an easy reference for community members to see the DAO’s wallet assets, which can allow for more knowledge and creativity for how we might productively use them. -We believe an attractive and educational presentation of wallet assets can help attract new members to the DAO -The proposed budget for creative tools will allow the committee to create more and better quality content to promote the DAO

Possible downsides: -It is possible that the work and content produced by the communications committee may not add value to the degree of the costs -It is possible that $ape coin appreciates and the USD cost of the proposed expenses is higher in one year’s time than today
