MultiSig Alumni Board - Constitution Amendment I

Voting ended over 3 years agoSucceeded

TL;DR:

This amendment creates an Alumni Board of former multisigners that have become inactive in their duties as multisigners at FreeRossDAO as they do not contribute to the DAO's efficiency and may also present a potential security risk. From now on, inactive multisigners will be moved to the Alumni Board after one quarter of inactivity and replaced via proposal by active community members who are engaged and up to the task.

DESCRIPTION:

Multisigners are paid $1,000 denominated in $FREE monthly, regardless of participation. If they are not actively performing their role as a multisigner, they are not contributing to the DAO’s goals or functions which makes their pay established in prop 7 a drain on the treasury. The DAO should be more frugal with its resources.

This proposal establishes a Multisigner Alumni Board, moves 3 inactive signers to the Alumni Board, and adds Prosperish.eth to the multisigner committee as an active signer.

The Multisigner Alumni Board should also be prominently displayed in marketing wherever the current multisigner committee is.

Audit of Multisigner Activity ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FboUpHr7958rHsKd86tlHrK8JSA3iZI4IngvzPA84ec/edit# ) shows that 3 multisigners have not signed anything since Proposal #7 was finalized on May 5th, 2022, and should therefore be removed from this responsibility.

The audit of multisigner activity was conducted by Prosperish.eth. Prosperish.eth will be added as a multisig to replace the two that have become inactive. Prosperish.eth is a very active community member, an asset when it comes to time sensitive actions in the DAO, and will do the same with transactions.

Moving forward, the active multisigner's should conduct a brief quarterly audit of activity. If any multisigners are dormant for one quarter, they should be moved to the alumni committee and a proposal should be drafted to replace them with more active community members.

MISSION ALIGNMENT:

Multisigners are paid $1,000 denominated in $FREE each month. If they are not actively performing their role as a multisigner, they are not contributing to the DAO’s functions or mission, and in some instances creating roadblocks.

Moving inactive multisigners to unpaid positions and away from multisigning relieves these concerns.

BUDGET:

Per the constitution in proposal 7, each multisigner will receive $1,000 worth of $FREE for each month they serve with the price of $FREE set on the final day of the month.

This proposal reduces spending on multisigners by $1,000 per month.

SUNSET:

May 1, 2023.

SUCCESS METRIC:

Reducing the cost of multisigners budget without sacrificing security or productivity.
