Q3 '25 Operational Budget Presentation
FWB enters Q3 with four intertwined priorities:
Execute FEST25 flawlessly – delivering on partner activations, ticket‑holder experience, and cultural impact while safeguarding budget.
Complete onchain transition – continue the $FWB → Base migration + TWAMM liquidity mechanism and allocate $Benefits for FWB ecosystem onchain activities.
Activate the refreshed membership & identity – roll out new membership, Discord architecture, and web & brand updates developed in Q2.
Preserve runway & diversify revenues – work towards extending runway to a minimum of 10 months + grow service + partnership revenue, and keep monthly OpEx trending downward.
Core monthly operating expenses have been reduced by 5% for Q3 2025 with a projected runway of 8 months contingent on fluctuations of ETH as of July 2025. This is a conservative estimate to keep planning realistic. If no additional revenue comes in and ETH holds at its current level, this is the timeline we’re operating against.
Here’s what’s currently in motion:
FEST 2025 is underway and remains our primary focus through early August. We’ve secured 10 top-tier partners and will be exploring opportunities to collaborate beyond the summer.
World Build 2.0 is confirmed and launching with a new cohort of founders.
We’re actively pursuing a number of potential paid projects for the fall to extend runway and continue building through the end of the year
We’re keeping the operation lean and execution focused. If you’re connected to partners or organizations that could be a fit, reach out. Warm intros that result in signed work receive 5% of deal revenue.
We continue to conduct budget reviews and monitor market conditions proactively to manage the treasury: and maintain a minimum floor of approximately 50% in fiat and stablecoins to ensure operational continuity regardless of market conditions.
During Q3 2025, we continue to work with our tax preparers and accountants to address both federal and state tax filings for the 2024 fiscal year. Being proactive ensures we maintain compliance with all applicable tax regulations while maximizing available deductions.
In Q2, we set out to realign core elements of FWB’s structure to better reflect who we are today and where we’re heading. This work has carried forward into Q3, where our focus is on implementing and operationalizing the foundational changes outlined last quarter.
We are:
Rolling out our new application process post-FEST25, designed to clarify the role of membership, surface its value more clearly, and lower friction for new contributors joining the network. This updated flow will also better support future experiments with reputation, access, and contribution-based roles.
Implementing structural updates to our community and Discord infrastructure, informed by member feedback and Town Hall input.
Deploying our refreshed public-facing identity, including a redesigned website, updated social presence, and clarified editorial voice. These updates aim to bring our external expression into alignment with the values, tone, and ambitions of FWB as it exists today—not as it once was.
We’ll continue to host regular Town Halls throughout Q3 to share updates, answer questions, and invite feedback. These will be key touchpoints to help shape the process together without losing momentum or clarity. We’re committed to surfacing important decisions transparently while making space for meaningful contributions along the way.
FEST25 Core Achievements
Strategic Partnership Progress: Secured 10 top-tier partners towards our sponsorship goal and still actively in conversation to close additional deals
Programming Framework: Finalized programming tracks based on theme and completed programming across experiences, ideas, and music
Brand Execution: Rolled out design system across all marketing channels and FEST properties
Technical Infrastructure: Collaborated with SIC on MESH integration to power the FEST25 digital experience and site buildout
In Q2, we completed a clean-slate redesign of the FWB token system to resolve the limitations of our original architecture and position FWB for the next phase of growth. At the core of this redesign is our migration from Ethereum Mainnet to Base. This move significantly reduces transaction costs, improves UX, and aligns us with an infrastructure partner actively committed to growing onchain cultural ecosystems.
Instead of relying on traditional bridges, we implemented a custom burn-and-mint migration flow audited by Hacken and governed by a dual-key security model, restoring the full 10M fixed supply of $FWB while enhancing trust, security, and smart contract composability.
To support long-term sustainability and minimize value leakage, we also implemented a novel treasury mechanism: a production-ready Time-Weighted Automated Market Maker (TWAMM) built in collaboration with Zaha Studio and the Uniswap Foundation. This system allows the DAO to stream ETH into the open market gradually, restocking $FWB over time without triggering slippage, MEV extraction, or price spikes.
Zaha introduced a series of critical enhancements—including block-prioritized execution and gas optimization—that transform the TWAMM hook into a robust DeFi primitive for DAOs. A percentage of revenue from FWB will now flow into this contract for replenished governance reserves in a way that’s sustainable, transparent, and forkable.
Finally, we began allocations of $Benefits, a mintable utility token designed for experimentation, participation, and community activation. While $FWB remains the scarce governance token, $Benefits enables more fluid and playful use cases across the FWB ecosystem, from program incentives to IRL activations and onchain micro-economies.
An initial 100M $Benefits are being distributed to liquidity contributors, DAO voters, and immigration participants. Future distributions will be governed on Base, reinforcing $FWB as the layer of consent and signal.
To be eligible for the $Benefits allocation based on token migration, complete your migration by July 15, 2025.

As part of the token migration, 100 ETH was raised via PartyDAO to help seed $FWB liquidity on Base. Due to a lack of clear communication, some community members expressed concerns about transparency and trust.
To address this, we returned the full 100 ETH to the PartyDAO contract and enabled the Rage Quit function. Contributors were given a 15-day window to reclaim their ETH based on their Party membership share. Roughly 50 ETH had already been converted to stablecoins at a higher ETH price; the remainder was returned as-is.
At the close of the Rage Quit window, any unclaimed ETH was proposed to be sent back to the FWB treasury. As a result, at least 56 ETH remains allocated to support liquidity for $FWB on Base.
Innovation requires more than one-off hackathons—it requires sustained pathways from ideation to execution. World Build 2.0 is designed to fill a critical gap in the builder ecosystem: a clear, structured journey from concept to funding, with embedded community support.
Building on the success of World Build 1.0, this next phase leverages strategic continuity, access to decision-makers, and community-driven momentum to create a builder pipeline with sustained engagement, direct funding pathways, and high-touch mentorship.
FWB ended Q2 2025 with $800K+ in strategic partnership revenue.
Crypto markets continued to experience volatility throughout Q2 following the Q1 downturn that followed all-time highs in late 2024. This turbulence continued to impact FWB’s treasury performance:
However, Q2 revenue once again exceeded projections, and core operating expenses remained below budget, helping cushion the treasury impact and maintain financial stability.
We remain focused on maintaining a lean operational footprint while exploring strategic ways to grow diversified revenue streams and reduce exposure to market fluctuations.
Friends With Builders is a new initiative designed to champion creative technologists—people who move between code, design, infrastructure and culture.
It’s a cohort-based builder program for high-agency individuals building on emerging technology. We offer hands-on programming, peer support, technical mentorship and partner collaboration for 50+ teams. We are in the process of rolling out marketing from the demos produced during our alpha cohort!
World Build 1.0
World Build 1.0 was a 4 stage program designed to build a group of talented, creative founders developing apps within the World Ecosystem and provide them with comprehensive top-tier support from both the World and FWB communities.
17 mini-apps were launched with thousands of DAUs and two term sheets secured. Now, teams are participating in a 10 week online build spring with weekly standups, tech support office hours, and workshops led by successful founders and builders. In May, teams pitched their projects to a panel of leading VC’s and World’s executive leadership.
