OpenSea, the world's first and largest NFT marketplace, wants to deepen its connections with emerging creatives, exemplify their commitment to web3 native communities, and move NFT culture forward. As part of this effort, they'd like to collaborate with FWB on a multi-phase partnership which will include:
FWB to become the first-ever partner to "takeover" and curate OpenSea's homepage
OpenSea provides a $250,000 fund for FWB to commission new artworks from up-and-coming artists in our community for a physical gallery space at FWB Fest---and also support our digital programming
We see this partnership as a way to bring more visibility to the incredible talent within the FWB community through OpenSea's highly-trafficked homepage and social media, and also bring to life a physical gallery space at FWB Fest. It empowers up-and-coming artists in our community with funding to develop new artworks.
The partnership would include three phases: the homepage takeover, FWB Fest sponsorship to support a physical gallery activation, and digital programming. More below:
FWB Curates OpenSea's Homepage (June 2022)
FWB will have creative control over the projects that are displayed on the homepage for three business days
FWB will work collaboratively to select featured projects
OpenSea and FWB will collaborate on social media promotion
OpenSea Sponsors IRL Exhibition at FWB Fest (August 2022)
The venue for FWB Fest includes a large, white wall gallery space with great natural light and exposure. Through the partnership, we'll be able to activate this space with newly commissioned artworks from the FWB community
FWB will select the artworks, which will be featured in-person and on OpenSea
OpenSea will be credited as the presenting partner of the physical exhibition
OpenSea Sponsors the FWB Podcast (2022)
OpenSea will provide a $250,000 activation fee, which will be allocated toward curation, commissioning artists to create new artworks, facilitating the physical installation at FWB Fest, and host, guest, and production expenses for the inaugural season of FWB's podcast.
We've scoped an initial budget here.
Increase FWB's visibility in the Web3 space, particularly for our NFT community.
Commission artwork from up-and-coming artists in the FWB community.
Create more FWB community experiences.
The partnership will decentralize the process of curation and allow the community to participate through:
A brief application and nomination process that will help the team identify the amazing talent in FWB's community.
Voice chats where FWB members can weigh in on artist selection.
In order to assess the impact of the partnership, we'll be looking at the following objectives and key results:
Objective 1: Amplify the existing work of FWB community artists
Key Result 1: Feature at least 10 FWB community artists on the OS homepage.
Key Result 2: Increase sales volume of FWB projects featured by 10% relative to previous 30-day performance.
Objective 2: Generate new opportunities and artworks through commissioned work
Across both objectives above we will monitor the key result of utilizing a community-led curation process that engages at least 5% of the FWB community (~165 people).
Objective 3: Increase FWBs visibility in the web3 space
Key Result 1: Achieve 500,000 impressions in web visits during FWB homepage takeover.
Key Result 2: Achieve at least 100,000 social media impressions through FWB Native and OS collaborative social media campaigns relating to the partnership.
Key Result 3: Achieve a 20% increase in FWB community applications in the two weeks following the homepage takeover (relative to previous average).
