Should the Froggy Friends DAO approve decisions impacting the rarity of individual traits or NFTs affiliated with the project?

Voting ended almost 3 years agoSucceeded

Although Froggy Friends is a self-proclaimed community-led project, it has not yet developed the capacity for effective community consensus-based governance and decision-making. In the absence of such mechanisms, decisions may be made in a centralized, top-down fashion by project founders and staff or through informal non-DAO councils, which can significantly impact the future direction of the project. One significant area of decision-making revolves around the rarity of individual traits and/or NFTs affiliated with the project as a whole. Examples of these decisions include, but are not limited to:

  • Introducing new traits or trait upgrades
  • Determining the frequency and supply of trait drops
  • Establishing the drop and distribution mechanisms for trait drops
  • Deciding on the burn mechanism for traits during upgrades, including policies for reusing applied traits
  • Managing custody and distribution of traits reserved for community events and raffles
  • Deciding on the expansion of the total supply of frogs associated with the project (e.g., inscribing to Ordinals)
  • Creating other NFT collections affiliated with the Froggy Friends project (similar to Lil Pudgys or Azuki Beanz)

This proposal aims to mandate DAO approval for decisions impacting the rarity of individual traits or NFTs associated with the Froggy Friends project as a whole. Such decisions will be subject to popular vote or determined by delegates elected by the DAO as part of a separate proposal.
