New TOAD Killer Logo Vote

Voting ended over 2 years agoSucceeded

This Proposal pertains to core TOAD. As such, Frog Soup holdings will not be counted in voting weight; Each vote from a TOAD Holder is worth one vote.

And now, the awaited vote for TOAD Killer’s new logo. Many creative ideas were put forward by the community, to the community. In collating and exploring them, one key design concept floated to the top above the others, and the result of this is as below.

This vote is the final step to decide which option should be locked in and submitted for TOAD Killer to update across its various channels.

A) Classic Shib brand colours, celebrating the pedigree B) Switching in a green background to highlight TOAD’s branch from that brand C) The Green Shib, an homage to the character on the main website that’s been with us from the start.

For those still reading, some further explanation:

The original intent for this vote was to have multiple very different concepts being presented. However in the process of iterating over these, one stood out amongst the rest, and others struggled to find a comparative level. A decision was made to waste no further time, and to call the vote between variations on that mentioned design, featuring:

  • The core design language drawn from the primary Shib logo, as encouraged by Lucie.
  • The toad being eaten concept was submitted by multiple people and had solid public favour already.
  • The furrowed eyes inherit some attitude from other submitted designs, giving it some personality and a subtle differentiation from the core Shib logo whilst remaining clearly recognizable.
