FTW-IP 1 Governance Proposal

The following is our first attempt to adopt a voting system for both low impact and high impact proposals from the community. The general idea is to adopt this approach for 100 days to test effectiveness, and make corrections and adjustments as required for a future v2.

Objectives/Hypotheses

1. More productive, async workflow. Less meetings and time taken communicating to solve tasks. Example: If someone sees a pain point and wants to fix it, they can propose it to the community and start workshopping immediately with whoever is interested.

2. Ease pressure off squad leads: Evolve from soft top-down leadership, as there is a bottleneck of decision making and guidance.

3. Bridge the gap between onboarding and contributing to the DAO. Allowing for open improvement proposals will help the DAO tap into new member’s strengths, expertise and unique perspectives.

4. Improved transparency and coordination. Discussions are open to the community, everyone interested gets to input in an organised way, instead of on an individual level.
