RIP 30: Onboard Sharad Shekar As a Full-Time Frontend Dev

Summary:

I, Sharad, propose to be onboarded to Rari Capital’s DAO as a full-time front-end dev, to build and maintain the current product, as well as lead a brand new rebuilt front-end for Rari Capital.

Background:

After completing my temporary involvement with the Rari Capital DAO (RIP 25), The Rari Capital Team has expressed interest in onboarding me full-time.

In the past two weeks, I have implemented a dashboard for Rari users to track their positions across the Rari Ecosystem. I have also implemented a highly requested UI feature which removes the need to have Web3 installed to browse the dApp.

I am coming from my previous experience at Catalog - where I engineered the full-stack, and led the product engineering from inception to launch - accruing over $200k in NFT record sales to date.

Abstract:

As I join the Rari Capital DAO to lead frontend development, some of my responsibilities include:

  • Building new features for the front-end.
  • Architecting and re-building a brand new Rari application from the ground up, using a blazing fast tech stack of Next.js/Ethers/Chakra-UI/Typescript. New designs included 😉
  • Testing, code coverage, maintenance
  • Product integration

For pre-funding compensation, the Rari Capital DAO has proposed 125 RGT / a week (50/50 vested non-vested) + 250 RGT signing bonus, which can be adjusted on a 3 month basis, in accordance with deliverables and where the protocol is at. I have provided a few options higher and lower so that the DAO can vote on what they think is fair.

Motivation

As the core front-end dev shifts focus to L2 Products (Nova), a skilled front-end dev is needed to lead front-end development while maintaining code quality. Furthermore, a brand new Rari Capital experience is being designed and developed internally, and I am beyond excited to bring it to life. I already have a significant stake in the network, and I look forward to doing my part to propel Rari Capital towards mass adoption.
