Summary I, Sharad, propose to work for the Rari Capital DAO on a trial basis of 1 week to build out a front-end feature: a user dashboard for tracking investment metrics across the Rari ecosystem. 50 RGT will be provided as compensation.
Background I've been a full-stack engineer and an avid DeFi enthusiast active in the space as a dev since 2017. I'm 25 years-old and a former engineering student from Texas. My latest work is Catalog, the sole music-exclusive NFT marketplace. I led the engineering of the product from October through our March launch, where we have since captured over $100k in record sales. My reason for moving on is primarily that I'm more interested in DeFi than in NFTs and creator economies.
I'm a scrappy hacker type and I like to ship quality work fast. My initial involvement with the Rari team was through an open PR. My bread and butter tech stack is Next.js on the frontend, and Hasura/Web3 on the backend.
Abstract I propose to work for the DAO to help build a user investment dashboard, tracking personal deposits, interest and growth across the Rari ecosystem products including Fuse, Earn, Pool2, and Tranches. I will be implementing designs made by @JustinYu.
This development will take place over a trial period of 1 week for a payment of 50 RGT, subject to DAO approval.
Completion leads to the potential of full-time conversion. As a dedicated front-end developer, some of what I would contribute to includes:
You can keep track of the trial work as an open PR here: https://github.com/Rari-Capital/rari-dApp/pull/365
Motivation Rari Capital will radically democratize lending/borrowing markets and provide easy-access to consistently high yield instruments - and that’s just the beginning. As the core product devs shift focus to more challenging problems including L2 integrations, a dedicated front-end developer who can keep up with the team is needed to maintain, build and optimize the user-facing experience.
