Gutter Gang x Psychedelics Research for Mental health

It's Mental Health Awareness Week and I wanted to propose something near and dear to my heart for consideration to Gutter Gives.

I am looking to help onboard two non-profit entities that work in the Psychedelics space into crypto and allow them the ability to accept Crypto donations.

This request is to support the Usona Institute, a 501c3 medical non-profit focused on getting psychedelics into clinic to improve quality of life. Currently in a phase 2 trial with psilocybin to treat Major Depressive Disorder. Usona also produces synthetic psilocybin at low cost to other clinical studies, trains facilitators for psychedelic therapy, and publishes research under an open science approach.

In a small study of adults with major depression, Johns Hopkins Medicine researchers report that two doses of psilocybin, given with supportive psychotherapy, produced rapid and large reductions in depressive symptoms, with most participants showing improvement and half of study participants achieving remission through the four-week follow-up.

The second entity I'd like to request support for is, Porta Sophia, whose primary goal is to identify prior art involving psychedelics in common and uncommon spaces and bring it together in one simple search tool for patent reviewers. Their goal is to protect the public domain, stimulate innovation, and support good patents to assure psychedelic therapies can one day be available at scale to the people who need them.

My ask to Gutter Gives is to help bootstrap their foray into crypto. Some of you may be familiar with Giving Block (https://thegivingblock.com/); they are the leading crytpo donation platform and make it very easy for non-profits to accept crypto donations. They also provide visibility of these organizations to potential donors and remove some of the headaches of understanding the space for non-crypto native entities. Unfortunately, they ask for $2500 a year in up front costs to access their platform and start receiving donations.

I am looking for a $5000 donation from Gutter Gives to the Usona Institute to fund 2 years of access to Giving Block, $5000 to Porta Sophia to fund 2 years access to Giving Block, and an additional $5000 to each to support their efforts.

Appreciate any consideration from the Gang to help bring these non-profits into crypto, work to help offer new treatment options to medical conditions that often lack good alternatives, and fight overly broad patents that threaten psychedelics as affordable medical treatments.
