As with the formation of Frontend Initiative GIP-70, it’s a good idea to apply the same security and asynchronicity principles to smart contract development as well. I propose to separate the scope of smart contracts development into a separate initiative - SC Core Initiative.
This initiative will for now be composed of the same members who are already contributing within the initial broad dev team, now getting their own budget: van0k and lekhovitsky. This initiative will not be heading the entire smart contract development cycle, but is one of the SC teams in general, in line with the DLT EXperts one. There can and should be more SC teams as the DAO grows. DLT Experts remains as the high level architectural view and guidance, with the SC Core Initiative focusing on day-to-day development, Router and audit-related tasks.
20k$/monthly compensation and the corresponding amount in $GEAR depending on their multiplier choice. This initiative is not requesting a new budget of $20K but is instead decentralizing the processes while the expenses have been approved in the GIP-43 OBRA already. It is assumed that this initiative is automatically extended if there is no separate vote on its adjustment. This initiative, like a few others, rolls into the new cycles unless discontinued.
