[GIP-101] Octav Onboarding to Track Gearbox Treasury

Abstract

We propose that Octav provides treasury reconciliation and reporting services for Gearbox in the form of monthly treasury transparency reports. This will serve to better inform existing stakeholders on the spending and inflow of treasury funds while continuing to build out the Credit Account abstraction for the community.

Proposal breakdown

Monthly Treasury Holdings Breakdown Reports: 12 reports on Gearbox that present and analyse Treasury KPIs and fundamental metrics including:**

Key metrics report: Total Funds, Wallet Positions, Protocol Positions, Total funds by category, Total funds by network

Wallet positions report: Breakdown of all tokens in the treasury wallets by balance, value, percentage and network.

Protocol positions report: Breakdown of all protocol deposits including staked amount, yield, protocol, balance, and value.

PDF and CSV: The treasury reports will be shared as both a PDF and CSV and can be imported to other dapps/treasury tracking software to enhance compliance.

Month to Month treasury performance: Tracking the percentage increase or decrease of positions and overall treasury balance creating a historical track record.

Gearbox Treasury Dashboard and Transaction History:

Gearbox will label and reconcile transactions done by the treasury to enhance transparency and that the community can view at any time.

Pricing

$1000 will be charged for access to the Octav platform for 1 year for 3 treasury wallets and 12 monthly treasury breakdown reports. Payment will be made to an address specified by the Octav team following approval.

Onboarding:

The Gearbox treasury wallets are already loaded and synced to Octav and the first report generated on January 29, 2024. The Octav team will spend a few hours each month with the Gearbox team to gather feedback to further improve the platform by offering more transparency features for the community.

Distribution: The treasury reports can be generated with 1 click by a member of the gearbox team for any time period.

Term

The term for these services will be 1 year. After this period, Octav will approach the DAO for renewal.

By providing regular, data-centric reports and access to view any transaction performed by the Gearbox treasury at any time, your community can be on top of every dollar flowing in and out.
