This proposal is to request funds from the DAO in the amount of 30,000 USDC to pay for an audit of the new adapters. This is an ongoing budget that is planned to be spent as needed. Gearbox has always prioritized security. Auditing smart contracts is very important to secure user funds as well as build trust with users, so allocating a budget for auditing new adapters seems reasonable.
This budget is for a series of small audits that will audit the new integrations that are planned to be used. The choice of auditor is left to the developers (Smart Contracts Initiative), they usually tend to favor those they have already worked with. The scope, auditor’s name, and budget will be announced in advance in the Discord thread dedicated to this proposal before the start of any audit work. If a legal agreement is required, the Foundation may enter into a contract with the auditing company based on this message and within the allocated budget.
The total budget is the final budget of 30000 USDC. After the audit, the community can expect a detailed audit report with all the vulnerabilities found and their severity. As it has always been done before (https://docs.gearbox.finance/risk-and-security/audits-bug-bounty).
