A proposal to define LP rewards emissions rate for GenomesDAO til end of 2025

Voting ended over 2 years agoSucceeded

Summary

GenomesDAO have constantly rewarded users for supporting our community, that includes tokenomics and liquidity provision. We would like reduce the number of GENE and GNOME entering circulation as we begin to broker deals with pharmaceutical companies to buy GENE to query users vaults. This is happening now as we are about to begin ‘The first crypto-incentivised, auditable, anonymous, genomic study in the world’.

As such, we are proposing 1 week of discussion followed by a 5 day snapshot vote on the following reductions.

The current proposal has 2 options for LP rewards on both Harvest.Finance on Polygon and CamelotDex on Arbitrum. We do not provide liquidity rewards on any CEX. We provide GNOME (Governance token) rewards for GENE/ETH LP and GENE (Utility token) rewards for GNOME/ETH LP.

Option 1. As of September 2023 — reduce LP rewards by 50% every 4 months until the end of 2025

Option 2. As of September 2023 — reduce LP rewards by 50% every 6 months until the end of 2025

Our original structure allocated 300m GENE and 2m GNOME to liquidity rewards. If Option 2 is selected. The rewards for GENE will run out in September 2024. We would therefore suggest that an extra 18,305,004 GENE is allocated to rewards in order to have rewards run until the end of 2025.
