Badges are a great add-on to the Great Escape gaming experience, but it seems that some badges remain too unattractive compared to Apemocrats or Ape Wrath.
Therefore, we would like to slightly modify the power of the badges to re-balance the game and make it exciting for the players to (re)discover them.
MINOR BADGES
Here are the modifications we would like to implement to the minor badges to re-balance the system and make all badges attractive.
🍉 Fruit Taster:
Before (current system): allows your Ape to eat up to 3 bad fruits without loosing points from your fruit score.
➡ After (new system): allows your Ape to eat up to 3 bad fruits during the game session. These bad fruits become good fruits once eaten and add points to your fruit score.
🅰 The Letter: No changes - Each of the A,P,E,S letter you get in the game gives you 50 points instead of 25. Collecting all four letters gives you a bonus of 150 instead of 75 points.
🥥 Coco Helmet:
Before (current system) : You start the game session with a coco helmet equipped on your ape. You become resistant to enemy hits and traps for the duration of the badge (you do not lose HP when hit)
➡ After (new system): Thanks to an action button, you can decide when to activate your Coco helmet. The duration of the coco helmet you get from the badge is slightly longer than the one you can find on the map. When killing an ennemy with the helmet, you get some extra enemy score.
🧲 Juicy Attraction:
Before (current system) : You start the game session with a magnet that attracts all the fruits nearby towards you.
➡ After (new system): Thanks to an action button, you can decide when to activate your magnet. Both the reach and duration of the magnet you get from the badge are longer compared to the one you can find on the map. You receive a small bonus on your fruit score for all the fruits you attract with your magnet.
⏳ Master of Time:
Before (current system) : You get an additional 10 seconds of extra time for your game sessions on all maps.
➡ After (new system): You get an additional 10 seconds of extra time for your game sessions on all maps. If you manage to stay alive long enough on the map, you also receive some bonus points on your Time score at the end of the game session.
👿 Ape Wrath
Before (current system) : Gives a x2.0 multiplier to your enemy score.
➡ After (new system): Gives a x1.75* multiplier to your enemy score.
⚠ *+/- 10% -> We are going to try out a few scenarios at 1.66 , 1.7 and 1.8 also. 1.75 seems the most likely, but it remains to be tested properly.
