Grant Description

Alphaday builds crypto experience dashboards for enthusiasts, developers, and projects. Users can drag and drop from hundreds of services, news and social feeds, charts, and dapp functionality to create their daily workflows inside a single dashboard. This eliminates the need to have multiple browser tabs open to get different bits of information. i.e. imagine having token prices, gas prices, twitter feed, latest news headlines, TVL, borrowing rates and any other information any user could possibly want all within one single dashboard.

Overview

We would like to create a Synthetix community dashboard that aggregates the following information into a single community dashboard:

• The latest Synthetix official announcements and blog post content.
• A feed of all news mentions of Synthetix from coindesk, cointelegraph and 20+ other news sources aggregated from across the internet.
• A calendar containing all Synthetix events including Synthetix Governance votes, meetups, hackathons with Synthetix bounties, AMAs.
• Podcast feed containing the latest appearances and interviews given by Synthetix team members.
• Youtube stream containing educational Synthetix content, interviews, or other videos featuring Synthetix.
• Synthetix System Documentation directory.
• Integration with Synthetix Governance Proposals (Snapshot) to show the latest and trending discussion topics.
• Discord and Twitter Integration to show a feed of latest discussions.
• Synthetix Careers integration to show the latest open jobs listed on Synthetix.
• Synthetix DAO metrics widget.
• Synthetix metrics including Futures: Overview, Synthetix trading Volumes and other metrics pulled in from Dune Analytics.
• FAQ’s, Litepaper, SNX token based information.

Value to Synthetix

Having all this information in one place allows Synthetix stakeholders (ie. users, developers, investors) to easily stay up to date on Synthetix ecosystem updates, see the latest news and developments, do research and stay engaged. In general users who can track their favourite projects more easily stay more engaged with the project which in turn supports user retention.

Additional Info: Basically our Synthetix Alphaday dashboard will provide a single end-point from which users can consume all the information on Synthetix. Specifically, the Synthetix Community Dashboard will aggregate all the discussions, talking points, narratives, events, metrics, official announcements and much much more into one single dashboard. With one glance at this dashboard community members would have a top-down view of what is happening across the entire Synthetix ecosystem. From this view they could then jump deeper into their areas of interest (i.e. SNX holders to twitter and discord discussions, investors to on-chain metrics across both Synthetix’s own pages and to third-party data providers, researchers to educational tools, devs to careers).

Project Implementation Plan

If we get a grant we will start working on the board immediately and we should have it ready within 2 months. Once we’ve launched the board, we will do user interviews and feedback sessions to tune the dashboard. We will continue this process of iterating, deploying, and collecting feedback continuously to build a dashboard that Synthetix stakeholders truly love to use.

Additional Information

Future milestones can include:

1. A widget that contains all relevant information to Synths as well as Synthetix Staking, even building direct integration with the app so users can stake on Synthetix straight from the Alphaday dashboard.
2. Swapping rates and pairs, APY, Pools, and other information about sUSD, sETH, sBTC, sSOL and SNX aggregated from different platforms such as Aave, Curve, 1Inch, and others.
3. Descriptions and links straight to apps powered by Synthetix : Kwenta, Lyra, Thales, including building direct integrations with the apps.

Funding Request

2,500 USDC upfront costs for development including integrating the discussion forums, blog post, social feed, jobs listing, TVL and other on-chain metrics.

250 USDC per month for 12 months for maintenance including having an Alphaday content analyst quality-checking the dashboard every day and ensuring the Calendar widget is up-to-date with latest Synthetix events, all news mentions across the internet are captured by the dashboard, any updates not automatically captured by the Alphaday aggregator engine is manually added to the board, and other maintenance tasks.
