Grant Description

We created an iniciative PBW23 that consists of independent events across Jun 2 - 11, including conferences, hackathons, workshops, community meetups, as well as various parties and experiences. These events will focus on a variety of different cryptocurrency ecosystems and topics such as hard money, payments, DeFi, Web3, DAOs, CryptoEconomics, NFTs, DeSci, mining, and many more. It is a chain agnostic and neutral community-led initiative. Our goal is not to promote one single blockchain, but rather to stimulate discussion between proponents of different solutions. The common theme is financial freedom, decentralization and privacy. Our goal is to provide information service for all the attandees to multiple the contents exposure. Also provide information booths, benefits and support all over the Prague city (right now working on multiple partnerships) to provide the best experience for not only attandess, but multiple organizations and communities we help to organize their own event (we handle venue partnerships and connecting them, suppliers, communities etc). Thanks to our interconnections, the whole blockchain week will "make sense" timewise and at the same time we will maintain the independence of individual events.

Overview

The aim is to offer variability to thousands of conference participants focused on individual topics. General expansion of awareness of cryptocurrency use cases. Give an alternative to, for example, 10,000 participants who will come to a Bitcoin conference or a specific investment or purely financial event. So that they can learn fluently in one week and at the same time meet real users of alternatives and specific projects. As it will include, for example, DeFi and Privacy Summit, with the participation of representatives from Brussels and the National Bank, the intention of the entire initiative is not only to reach education and support discussion, but also to have real impacts on the creation of market regulations. PBW23 also includes active outreach with media coverage. We believe that Synthetix, as a significant player, will benefit from all these activities. At the same time, we are able to simply help with a specific form of promotion as we handle multiple venue partnerships.

Thanks to the cooperation with PBW23, a clearly wider reach across the possible target group of 15 000+ blockchain and crypto enthusiasts coming to Prague during PBW. Project Implementation Plan

Milestones: Media content - at least 2 podcast streams of interview with significant personas and speakers attending PBW23. Start February, bi weekly. By end of March - complete website with a calendar, 10+ partnering venues, providing side event space, co-work support and media press space. 6+ medium/bigger media partners confirmed to be informing from the whole PBW continously. By end of April - partnering restaurants, hotels and other services accepting crypto and providing discount to all PBW23 attendees. 2 Infobooth spots agreed in the center of Prague. Preparing content and sponsor materials for these. By the end of May - Info print materials (calendar, maps, rollups...) ready. Helpers confirmed.

Additional Information

We are enthusiasts. Most of us native cryptonative. Although we have friends across the ecosystem, but we don't want to use any privileges. Our work over the past years has been driven by the motivation to educate and spread crypto a little differently. We secure income for ourselves mainly from other activities and we try to organize smartly, in Czech :) so we do many things ourselves and thanks to the cooperation of several organizers, it is significantly more economical. We lead by example with the organization itself. Our finances and the entire organization are therefore transparent and open. Last year, we managed to organize the largest local crypto conference without a single "sales stand", with the support of decentralized projects. We do not address partners and sponsors en masse. We try to select them and minimize their number. We believe that Synthetix correlates with our values, it belongs to the projects that we want and can communicate about within the entire PBW, and that is why we contacted you. We try to partner with minimum sponsors max for the iniciative as possible. But as our plans are flexible and depending on the resources, we try to barter as much as possible and keep everything resourceful and low budget. Our ask is 10000$.
