We are proposing the implementation of Tookey, an extensible authentication architecture for Web3 based on MPC-TSS technology, and leveraging multiple parties as a new approach for onboarding new users and further key management. Tookey facilitates the creation of secure wallets for users and enables subsidized user activity without the risk of funds misappropriation.

Motivation

During the execution of Web3 products and the growth of new ecosystems, there is a need to educate users on the following topics:

• Instruction on the installation of a web3 wallet;
• Guidance on the secure storage of seed phrases;
• Information on where and how to purchase Gas Tokens to cover transaction fees;
• Advice on the importance of investing value prior to interaction.

Project Implementation Plan

Project Timeline: 2022-Nov to 2023-Jun

Description: Tookey.io will integrate threshold signature scheme wallet technology with a smooth user onboarding experience, concentrating the user's emphasis on testing new features and broader technological adoption. Users will be able to create seedless and gasless wallets, and access can be effortlessly regained with MPC implementation.

Deliverables: Extensible authentication architecture for Web3 based on MPC-TSS technology and leveraging multiple parties as a new approach for onboarding new users and further key management.

Milestone 1 - Open-source TSS infrastructure Timeline: 2022-Nov to 2023-Feb

Description: An infrastructure for implementing TSS in practical use cases consists of the following components:

• Native TSS library designed for multiple targets (COMPLETED)
• Secure encrypted storage and management software (COMPLETE)
• Backend infrastructure to store and interact with key parts (COMPLETED)
• Hardhat plugin to store and interact with key parts (COMPLETED)
• WalletConnect compatible mobile application for users to store and interact with key parts (IN TESTING)
• SDK developed for React applications (IN PROGRESS)

Milestone 2 - Account abstractions libraries integration
Timeline: 2023-Feb to 2023-Apr

Description: Practical implementation of Account Abstraction via Entry Point Contract specification that is a specification of employing entry point contract to realize account abstraction while maintaining the consensus layer protocol unchanged.

Deliverables:

• User-end mobile and web wallets to interact via wallet abstraction
• Smart-contract infrastructure of creation ERC-4337 and/or ERC-1167 compatible wallet abstractions

Milestone 3 - Subsidise program Timeline: 2023-Apr to 2023-May

Description: As a part of user attraction we will insert treasury which will serve to pay users gas and drive attention to the new Seamless wallet creation feature. We believe that one of the main obstacles for new web3 users today remains a gas fee, which we will cover during the promotion events, testing, and bug bounty program.

• Created and linked treasury with up to $10,000 kept for activities:
• Event announcements
• Participation guidances
• Developer documentation
• Partnership program
• Free gas

Milestone 4 - “Welcome Carpet” SDK Timeline: 2023-May to 2023-Jun

Description: Deployment of Welcome Carpet SDK, allow developers to enjoy: user authentication data requests, seamless distributed private key wallet setup, recoverable access, and many other possibilities will be added during this step. Tookey will host a bug bounty program to master a new execution case and move forward with deploying. Bug bounty incentives will be distributed at the time, encouraging not only the community but also developers, to investigate and contribute to the establishment of a new Web3 user experience era.

Deliverables:

• Integration of “Welcome Carpet” SDK for seamless user onboarding
• Testing of products supported with a bug bounty program
• Launch of the seamless onboarding process in the mainnet
• 5K autentifications through the use of a welcome carpet
• Distribution of bug bounty rewards
