Grant Description

Synthetix Italia is a community-driven project that is committed to bringing the Italian web3 community to the knowledge of the Synthetix protocol!

Through:

• social pages and blog posts https://linktr.ee/synthetix_ita
• online events (influencers and Italian channels)
• offline events
• websites https://synthetixitalia.eth.limo/
• soon dApp in Italian (Self-hosted if the Cc will not allow us to do it internally)

Overview

Currently, Synthetix Italia Ecosystem is managed by Andrea0x.eth himself as founder but has no less than 5 internal managers. We want to boost Synthetix Italia as a Country lead in the Italian market.

The idea is to create:

• periodic activities (sometimes economically incentivized),
• create guides and school Italian users,
• participate in Italian offline web3 events representing Synthetix (sometimes by contributing as a sponsor)
• create merchandising (to give away at events)

The Italian DeFi ecosystem is populated by many users, there are many people who actively participate in other protocols and who are in the web3. A protocol like Synthetix (especially given the latest 2022 developments with Optimisms at almost full capacity) can really attract a lot of attention in terms of users and contributors.

So the ultimate goal of this grant is to bring good people into Synthetix for its growth.

If I had to think big it would be a starting point and then expand the organization to "Synthetix Europe".

Value to Synthetix

Synthetix will gain a lot of visibility in the Italian market thanks to the events and activities that will be carried out, Synthetix will have a face in Italy and this will allow users to trust and create brand awareness

• Periodic activities (sometimes economically incentivized), Growth of audiences on social media and media news sharing. Synthetix would have 360° coverage in the Italian market on most communication channels (Twitter, Discord, Telegram, Instagram, Tiktok, Linkedin);

• Create guides and school Italian users, Creation of a kind of Synthetix School, where users can learn the protocol (in every little part) and its other derivative protocols (such as kwenta, lyra, etc.) free of charge. This would lead to a virtuous circle of new passionate people creating interesting things for the protocol.

• Participate in Italian offline web3 events representing Synthetix (sometimes by contributing as a sponsor) Italian web3 events are diverse, (currently many are collected in a map here https://www.spaghett-eth.com/) they are formed by really skilled people and when there are physical events they are very niche but important international figures and projects with a high technological level participation) Having Synthetix present there would allow the presentation of the protocol, show the different possibilities of integration and partnerships as well as create brand awareness for participants (most people with technical knowledge).

• Create merchandising (to give away at events but also to wear for Synthetix Italia managers)

• Implement and further improve the support provided to Synthetix I REPEAT: If I had to think big, it would be a starting point to expand the organisation to 'Synthetix Europe'. This is why our commitment does not stop at the Italian market alone but rather we are always looking for new initiatives to help Synthetix, an example of which is the latest Twitter bot: https://twitter.com/synthetix_sip/ which instantly posts any new updates on SIPs.

Project Implementation Plan

Start-up Phase: The first start-up phase is already realized, Synthetix Italia is already recognized by several influencers and prominent web3 personalities in Italy. Several of them contacted us to host us and some projects contacted us to better understand how to integrate or use Synthetix in their protocol or to build things on it.

Bootstrapping Phase: This phase entails creating recognition and being present in the media and physically at events, which entails a constant (almost daily) commitment to activities and participation in events. So Synthetix Italia will contribute media to every communication and start user education programs. Participation in events falls into this phase

The bootstrapping phase theoretically lasts several years, at least two, in which constant activity reaches a large user base and brings a lot of value to Synthetix.

Consolidation phase: This is an advanced stage where we have achieved a good result at national level and it is time to replicate the model in other countries by helping other European Country Leaders to grow, participate in events and replicate the Italian model. At this stage, we envisage the birth of a new 'organisation' called Synthetix Europe, which will be the 'Country Europe Leader Manager' and which will manage the media presence and at events in an effective and as synchronised and similar way as possible throughout Europe.

Additional Information

The plan is multi-year, The grant would be a one-off annual one and see during the year how it progresses, bringing reports to the grant council.

At the end of the year, it is evaluated, based on the objectives achieved and the results, whether to renew the grant, reduce it or discontinue it.

Funding Request

between 6k and 10k SNX

Making an Example the case for 10k SNX:

• 4 Offline Events (1k each as budget)
• 500 SNX per month to create offline events and have budget for efficient media exposure

I also agree to have an allocation contained in a Multisig together with the grant council address as signatory, So to move the funds I have to submit a proposal for use them and we'll review it together.
