Grant Description

Develop a TOOL SITE for the Synthetix community, managed by the Grants Council

Overview

The site will list all the relevant TOOLS the Synthetix community will need to learn about and use the protocol, all in one place. It will also host TOOLS related to the larger DEFI ecosystem that will be relevant to any Synthetix community member.

Value to Synthetix

The benefits are basic but very valuable. One-stop-shop to get access to all the TOOLS you would need to operate in this environment.

Project Implementation Plan

Implementation:

• The site will be done in React and can be served from any React friendly service.
• Users can access the Site and view the listed Tools, click on any Tool and then link via a new tab to the project’s site.
• Sanity.io will be used as a CMS to register Tools and enter the specific Tool details.
• Each Tool (object) being created will be assigned Name, Description, Image & external link, Featured and Categories.
• Featured objects will be listed above (Top of page) other elements.
• Each Category can have Sub-Categories. This will allow for a Pack Category to have multiple packs linked to it. Tools (objects) can link to any Pack and other Categories.
• Authentication to the CMS will be managed by the GC. We will attempt to use wallet addresses for authentication. Alternatively we will use the default mechanism which is email based.
• The Site will be deployed to a temporary testing site first for final sign off, before taking it live to its final destination.

The development will consist of the following sections:

• Taking the design elements and creating HTML for the site.
• Taking the HTML and converting it to a fully functional REACT dApp / Site.
• Set up and integrate the CMS solution (https://www.sanity.io/) where the Grants Council can manage the content for the site from.
• Deploy an instance of the full site to a provided hosting solution.
• Provide all code for the site via Github code share.

Additional Information

Dependency:

• Completion of all the design elements
• Might need the designer to tweak some elements
• Grants Council to provide hosting solution for the site

NOTE - we are able to provide hosting and maintenance services for the frontend if required.

Funding Request

We request to be paid $6,500.00 in $SNX
