Problem Statement

• From the last 500 members that joined in the Discord, how many are contributing?
• Is it that even 5 members from the 500 don't have skills to contribute?
• How can we separate out one time visitors from the members who really want to contribute?
• What is the cost of loss of opportunity by not using the community to build and improve the protocol?
• Can the members learn about the project and areas of contribution in 5 mins?
• How can we onboard members so that they have all the information needed to contribute?

https://eth.dodao.io - DoDAOs onboarding platform enables DAOs to create interactive onboarding content in the form of guides.

We also provide white-labeling so that DoDAO can be set up with your theme and as a subdomain. By doing this members don’t need to know about YET another tool.

Our guides are far better than normal documentation in a number of ways

1. Guides are to-the-point and are meant to onboard users for a specific role or task.
2. Information is presented to the user in a piece-by-piece way i.e. in steps.
3. Guides have evaluation steps that force the user to go through the contents carefully
4. Guide completion is tracked i.e. we know the user's wallet address, completion date, and score.
5. This data can be queried to apply smart logic like: gating of discord channels, gating of product boards, and proposal voting
6. Guides can be used to capture user information
7. Multiple guides can be combined into guide bundles

Overview

We will do the following as part of the deliverables

1. Create a white-labeled site which will use the same theme as the main site and can be setup as a sub-domain
2. Four "Onboarding" Guides and Four "How To" Guides

Each of the guide will contain

1. High Quality Thumbnails
2. Educational Content
3. An overview video
4. Frequently asked questions to make sure the user is going through the most important information.

Using the platform is completely free.

Value to Synthetix

We are sure that by adding a proper onboarding and creating educational content, we will

1. Increase the active members participation by at least 5-10 times
2. Reduce work for the core team as they don’t need to answer the same questions over and over again
3. Find members who are really interested in contributing.

Implementation Plan

1. Before Start - Setup the white-labeled site - Simple to do and takes ~30 mins
2. Week 1 - Create two onboarding and two How to guides(Without videos)
3. Week 2 - Create two more onboarding and two How to guides. Also, Review the previous four guides with Synthetix team.
4. Week 3 - Review of all guides. Also create overview videos and embed in each guide
