Grant Description

At the moment Pollen is focused on asset tokens but via a grant we can easily enable all of the Synthetix tokens to be available on Pollen. This would bring TVL to Synthetix.

Overview

Pollen DeFi is a first of its kind decentralized, next-gen index where the community holds all the power. We are working on indexes which can hold any type of asset and investors can just buy one index token to hold ownership of many assets. Pollenators play a game similar to Fantasy Football but instead compete around virtual portfolios. Whoever does best rises to the top of the leaderboard. Leaders attract delegators who follow their portfolios and share a small part of their profits. This way the top Pollenators are compensated and as such we can use the data from the top Pollenators to create market beating indexes without having to pay asset managers.

Value to Synthetix

By enabling Synthetix to be both balanced by Pollenators and acquired by indexes, Pollen will bring TVL to the Synthetix community. Index investors buy index tokens which are automatically invested in the assets which were proposed by the top Pollenators.

Project Implementation Plan

Pollen's Pollenators and Delegators are about to be launched to mainnet. In Q2 the asset pools will be added. In before the end of Q3 we want to support Synthetix assets. We are currently working with some of the biggest investment communities in the world.

Additional Information

A joint design is created on how to support Synthetix inside Pollen and Pollen's indexes. Once the design is ready, Synthetix selects their preferred integration team and they will make all the necessary modules to integrate Synthetix. All Pollen's code is open source and held in modules which will soon have standardised interfaces. This allows for any third-party to create extensions. As soon as the work is done, the code needs to be audited and a governance vote will bring it live. From this moment on Synthetix and Pollen can announce the partnership.
