Summary
- This proposal aims to establish a Podcast Series for Gro DAO that will either:
- initially consist of 10 episodes requesting $3500 USDC from the DAO Treasury, or;
- initially consist of 2 test episodes requesting $650 USDC from the DAO Treasury
- The podcast series will aim to expand awareness and education to support Gro DAO’s mission of making web3 more accessible to the masses
- It will also help validate whether the idea of the Gro Podcast Network should be something that the DAO should focus on in the medium-to-long term, or whether it should be a one-off series
- This success can measured against data from analysis report(s) of episodes that will be launched on podcast network website (primary success metric would be to have 1000 unique listeners for the series)
- For a detailed description, refer to the GRFC Forum Post

Pros
- Increased outreach for the web3 community at large
- Exposure to potential partnerships
- Learning opportunities for gromies and for the web3 community at large
- A new opportunities for interested community members to participate and contribute to the DAO
- A chance for members who have left the project/protocol to see the upcoming growth of the project/dao/protocol, this is a way to promote web3 citizens to join the community and build awareness about Gro DAO, which is something that is desperately needed from responses given in the GroDAO Sentiment Survey
- Aligns with the mission of Gro DAO to make Web3 more accessible
Cons
- Even though the series will have 10 episodes, this idea is a test. This series will be used to flesh out the idea of a podcast and help train members in GroDAO to produce podcasts in the community. While it is necessary to establish this process to help assist the cause, there is a potential that the test could fail to gain the traction intended for the outside community within the 10 episodes allotted.
Timeline & Voting
-Vote 36 will run for 5 days and will follow the ranked-choice voting (instant runoff voting) format as there are 3 viable options to choose from. Accordingly, users can rank their choices in order of preference. If no option receives a majority share of votes (over 50%), the option with the least amount of votes will be eliminated, and those who voted for this option will have their second choice recorded instead.
You can read more about ranked-choice voting here.
If vote 36 passes, the team will begin construction on the first episode, with a projected launch date of October 2nd.
Community Members will have the opportunity to have their say on the topics of the episodes. Suggestions are above, but you can be present your topic ideas in the ideas section of the Discord server.
