This proposal is for Gro DAO to allow the People Pod to continue operating for another 6-month term, with a funding request of 95,000 GRO.
See GRFC: People Pod 2nd Term Proposal for complete details.
The proposal outlines the continuation of the People Pod for another 6-month term.
To date, the People Pod has facilitated DAO governance, operations, performance management, and coordination (see the 1st Term Highlights section of the GRFC for full details). It has accordingly achieved an average of over 75% on both its OKR (Objectives and Key Results) cycles within this period.
The People Pod is prepared to continue pushing Gro DAO along its progressive decentralisation journey while ensuring productivity and efficiency. If Vote 30 is accepted, the People Pod will focus on the following objectives over the next 6 months:
The People Pod will continue providing monthly progress updates, quarterly OKR reviews, and frequent comms through the various community channels (Twitter, Medium, Discord, Notion and Forum) and community calls.
Raambo will continue as the People Pod’s full-time facilitator while Jaypow, Kndlexi and Beckley will continue as part-time contributors.
The DAO community will also be incentivised to support on ad-hoc tasks via bounties.
See the Budget & Composition section of the GRFC for full details.
It is estimated that the People Pod will require 145,300 $USDC and 213,200 GRO to continue operating for another term.
However, because the People Pod has an excess budget of 145,373 $USDC and 118,681 GRO from its 1st term, (if Vote 30 is accepted) it would only require an additional 95,000 GRO (~$3,400 worth of GRO) for its 2nd term.
Vote 30 will run for 5 days on a simple majority basis.
If Vote 30 is passed, the People Pod’s 2nd 6-month term will run from July 19, 2023 - January 19, 2024.
If Vote 30 isn't passed, the People Pod will carefully review the proposal and engage in a thorough dialogue with the DAO community to incorporate any further feedback received to ultimately identify the most suitable solution that aligns with the DAO’s interests and expectations.
