Should Hakka Intelligence Organize A FIFA World Cup Prediction Round?

Hakka Intelligence is a price prediction platform and one of Hakka's flagship products. So far, it has mostly been used to organize token price prediction rounds, enabling HAKKA holders to bet bet (on the relative future prices of BTC, ETH, MATIC, etc, in 3 months for example), and reward them accordingly.

However, Hakka Intelligence has many more potential use cases going way beyond price prediction. In fact, it could apply to many other real life public events!

The most popular sporting event on the planet is taking place soon: the FIFA World Cup 2022! And our Twitter followers have voted with an absolute majority for a World Cup-related round!

How could it apply to Hakka Intelligence, since traditional sports betting does not fit a price prediction format? How could national football teams replace token prices and have quantitative values to predict?

After internal discussions inside the core team, we have decided to propose the following system to the Hakka community:

For those unfamiliar, the FIFA World Cup is organized around 2 stages:

• 1 group stage with 8 groups of 4 teams each (32 teams in total). To reach the second stage, these teams must be ranked 1st or 2nd of their respective group
• 1 knockout stage (16 teams in total), organized in the form of a tournament (round of 16, quarter finals, semifinals, final, champion).

In the current format decided (subject to change if technically necessary), the Hakka Intelligence round would be focusing solely on the knockout stage, starting at the quarter finals (with 8 teams to bet on). Users would have to predict how many times each team will win a game starting from the quarterfinals:

• Each team would start with 1 point
• Each victory would multiply the number of points for that team by 2
• The penultimate game for 3rd and 4th places will not counted (3rd & 4th will have the same number of points).

Let's take 3 examples:

• If a user thinks Team A will lose at the quarterfinals, he just needs to give that team 1 point only (the default number)
• If the same user thinks Team B will reach the final but won't be champion (meaning they have won their quarterfinal and semifinal), he needs to give that team 4 points (1->2->4)
• If that user thinks Team C will be champion, he needs to give that team 8 points (1->2->4->8)

Just like previous Hakka Intelligence rounds, what matters for users is not to make 100% accurate predictions, but rather to have their bets as close as possible to reality. The higher your accuracy score is compared to other Hakka Intelligence users, the more HAKKA rewards you would earn.
