As described in this forum thread, one of the key initiatives Hummingbot Foundation proposes to start is an Exchange Certification Program, allowing the Foundation to prioritize scarce engineering, QA, and support bandwidth on a subset of the exchanges in the codebase to improve their technical quality and trader experience.
Certified exchanges would receive a number of benefits, including being featured in the documentation, going through ongoing testing, bug bounties, better support, and marketing partnerships.
Since the Foundation is sustained by fee share agreements with exchanges, we propose that only exchanges with active fee share agreements are eligible for certification. See this table for a summary of these agreements and their benefits to both the Foundation and users. We believe that differentiating these exchanges via certification would improve the fee share amounts.
Please vote for which exchanges you think should be certified. Exchanges that receive more than 50% approval will be certified for Epoch 2. In addition, total votes need to exceed the quorum threshold for the Exchange Certification Program to be implemented.
