Rationale

Backpack is an emerging cryptocurrency exchange offering both spot and perpetual futures trading, with increasing trading activity and growing interest from algorithmic traders and market-making participants. Adding Backpack connectors to Hummingbot:

• Expands Hummingbot’s coverage of modern spot and derivatives trading venues
• Enables users to deploy automated trading and market-making strategies on Backpack spot and perpetual markets
• Supports Hummingbot’s goal of providing access to a diverse range of trading platforms
• increases Foundation treasury
• affiliate agreement with Backpack pays Foundation based on usage

Impact

If approved, this proposal will make Backpack Spot and Perpetual connectors officially supported in the Hummingbot client and available to users in future releases. This integration will expand trading venue availability and strategy deployment opportunities within the Hummingbot ecosystem.
