In summary, the two proposals presented below are as follows:

OPTION 1

  • Send 30ETH to a Chaos common pool
  • Split 11% of all future primary pack sales amongst 57 wallets within the split (ie compression)
  • Split 57 Supercharged NFT’s amongst 57 wallets within the split

OPTION 2

  • Send 30ETH to a Chaos common pool
  • Send 11% of all future primary pack sales to a Chaos common pool
  • Send 57 Supercharged NFT’s to a Chaos common pool

Both of these proposals create clear lanes for our future work together as a headless band. The first does this while also creating compression in the Chaos Split. The second one favors the common pool entirely.

Background

This attempts to listen to and consolidate feedback given in the #proposal channel, upon objections made to the original Chaos Split Adjustment proposal made in this document.

The main points of response: Let’s move the project forward and focus on what we can do next: Now that the camp is complete, it is clear there is energy to continue to push the Chaos project forward as a collective, and that we need to create clear lines to value and economic feedback loops, to allow that to happen sustainably.

The proposed action of slashing 4 participants in half + splitting across 57 wallets doesn’t do much to solve anything: Those calling for compression of the split feel like this action doesn’t do that.

It is unclear what proportion of the network is feeling connected to each of these, and thus 2 options are presented here. A Chaos-wide vote can be held to determine which to pursue.

Voting Parameters

  • Each member shall have one vote (1 person = 1 vote)
  • A quorum requires the participation of at least 40 members
  • To pass, the proposal must be approved by 75% of the voting members
    • If the proposal is approved, the option with the majority of votes between Option 1 and Option 2 will be implemented.
    • That is to say, If 75% of votes are for options 1 + 2 cumulatively, then the proposal is approved and we implement the option that has a 50% majority.
  • A 7-day voting period (if quorum isn’t met we extend the period 3 days)
  • If there is a tie after 7 days, and quorum has been met, we extend the voting period an additional 3 days. We continue these 3-day extensions until there is no longer a tie.

Shall we implement this? (Vote below)
