Full Proposal: https://songcamp.notion.site/Chaos-Radio-Episode-8-3f6724b587ac428e868e75b8898609a9

Background

What are the opportunities this proposal is capturing? What do we know? What context is relevant to understand the opportunity?

Chaos Radio is in the midst of finalizing ep. 6 and ep. 7 as approved by the prior proposal here. However, this proposal is to create the final episode 8 of Chaos Radio as direct response to the latest “Chaos Fully Realized” plan. Through this proposal we are providing opportunity to include the climactic moments leading up to and immediately following the Chaos NFT NYC event and related “pack burning” shift of our journey. Ensuring that the potentially final chapter of the Chaos story (at least for now) is told as thoroughly as the previous ‘making of’ and subsequent release of our historic headless band has been told within the narrative immersive format thus far in episode 1-7.

Description

I propose we (action), with the expectation that this will (desired/positive effect). If monetization or business models are included in the proposal, put them here.

Chaos Radio team proposes that we fund the development and execution of episode 8 of Chaos Radio with the goal of capturing the events leading up to and immediately following the NFT NYC gathering, performance and Chaos transition point.

→ Episode 8: Chaos Realized (this proposal)

  • The important moments and decisions leading up to NFT NYC, forming and execution of the “chaos fully realized” plan, macro Songcamp updates
  • Immersive overview of the NFT NYC performance, real-time style interview at the “Songcamp” house, key take-aways and learnings from the project, some kind of dope murmur to end all murmurs

→ Episode 7: Post Chaos (in production)

  • Covering the contentions that arose related to the NFTs splits, the eventual resolution, governance of Chaos/Songcamp, and general retrospective learnings from the camp.
  • Update on current happenings and announcement of Chaos’ next moves (web2 release, paintings auction, CC0, irl events, etc.)!

→ Episode 6: Chaos Release (in production)

  • This follows the happenings at chaos festival, community highlights via 1:1 interviews with collectors/enthusiasts
  • Overview of all the exciting sales, press, etc. that happened the weeks following the release (see teaser WIP here)

Deliverables

At the conclusion of this proposal the Chaos Radio team will have delivered these items and actions for Episode 8.

  • IRL recording of the NFT NYC performance and in-person interviews
  • Final mastered .wav and .mp3 files release-ready for distribution
  • Show notes including production credits, featured voices, pertinent links, music credits, and a link to each episodes text transcription.
  • Project managers and hosts (iara, LosA, levi) will work with the Songcamp team to determine optimum release date (targeting May 12th).
    • Set-up and scheduling of the release via RedCircle (the pod distro tool we’ve been using)
    • Early delivery of final episode masters to the Songcamp team for the purposes of creating promotional assets (audiograms, teasers, etc.)
    • Assist the marketing & pr team members with the writing of any press kit materials (episode summary, host/producer quotes, etc.)
    • Participate in a reasonable number of live events if marketing team decides to incorporate in strategy (twitter spaces, irl panels, etc.)

Resource Requirements

What do we need in order to move forward with this proposal in terms of resources and approval?

TOTAL $3,514 USD

Risks

What are the potential risks if we moved forward with this proposal?

There are minimal risks with this proposal. One is more of an opportunity cost. As this is tied to plan of utilizing the remaining Chaos Common Pool funds, this by definition means money we spend on Chaos Radio won’t be used for any other final efforts (travel expenses, merch creation, even planning, etc.).

Optimal Outcome

  • How will we know if it was beneficial? What stories do we expect to hear?
    • We hope this final episode 8 will explain the thinking and intention behind the “chaos fully realized” plan to collectors, community members, investors, and chaos members unable to follow the story in real-time (at the event).
    • Effectively summarizing the transition point of CHAOS in this highly climactic moment will help us forever capture the history of this project.
    • Leaving a legacy that can serve as an educational tool for folks building similar projects in the future
  • What are the learning metrics that can be applied to measure the success?
    • How people respond to the episodes on Twitter
    • How many people listen to the episode
    • We could hold a candid conversation about the episodes and topics on twitter spaces
  • How does this impact the community?
    • Ep. 8 will help align the community in a shared experience. Serving as a memento for all able to attend the event and all unable to attend the event. Reliving the beautiful moments of the chaos climax, celebrating what we created, and the next evolution of our community.
    • For folks tangentially part of the community, this episode 8 may serve as an evergreen touchstone in the story of the worlds first web3 headless band CHAOS. Ideally driving value and prestige back to the individual band members of CHAOS as well driving value back to the CHAOS NFTs and their holders.
