Project Description

Wonderverse is proposing to create a Snaps with both a coordination and engagement tools that would enable better notifications and alignment on assigned work/proposals to be voted on by project members, as well as engagement quests for community members. In addition, Wonder Communities product would leverage Snaps to showcase open quests with attached rewards to broader Snaps users.

Project Goals

Increase usage to MetaMask through high utility and incentivized usage of MetaMask Snaps. The Wonderverse team is proposing to create a MetaMask Snaps that will display information from our Wonder Teams and Wonder Communities product.

Wonder Teams: coordination tool serving end-to-end process for web3 communities. Core team and core contributors of a project can use Wonderverse MetaMask Snap to interact with proposals (view, review, comment and vote), work (view, assign, comment, submit) and notification of payment (crypto, reputation or social tokens)

Wonder Communities: Discord-native engagement bot serving gamified quests to community members. Community members can use Wonderverse MetaMask Snap to:

-Get notified and participate in community quests -See a list of available quests through Snaps from their communities -Sponsored quests and daily quests that are open to all MetaMask Snaps users with attached rewards - especially quests that focus on on-chain data / activity validation

The primary objective of Wonder’s MetaMask Snaps integration is our goal to help communities retain their users through a gamified experience and to monetize with their communities through sponsored open quests. The use of sponsored quests will create revenue share between MetaMask Snaps, the community and Wonder for facilitating a marketplace of sponsored quests.

Responsibilities Wonderverse team:

• Developing MetaMask Snaps integration for Wonder Teams and Communities products
• Deploying MetaMask Snaps integration for tasks and quests
• Facilitating sponsorship marketplace to enable communities to generate revenue MetaMask team
• Documentation and integration support for Snaps integration
• Marketing support for Wonder MetaMask Snaps integration (with emphasis on sponsored quests that are open to all MetaMask Snaps users)

Target Milestones

Wonder Communities:

• Design Wonder Communities Snaps frontend
• Data integration between Communities and MetaMask Snaps
• Display of existing community quests (including incentives and rewards)
• Display of sponsored quests from adjacent communities

Wonder Teams

• Design Wonder Teams Snaps frontend
• Data integration between Teams and MetaMask Snaps
• Display of assigned work to the Snaps user
• Display of proposals to be voted on by the Snaps user

Timeline / Path to Production

On-chain / off-chain data integration (80 hours) - Work with Snaps team to design integration of on-chain and off-chain data between Wonder Teams, Communities and Snaps for community quests

• Initial setup of on-chain and off-chain data and Wonder Communities

• Setup of data integration

• Optional: deploy community quests for Linea ecosystem partners Questing components (80 hours)

• Create quest flows and mechanisms that align with Snaps infrastructure; work with Snaps team to optimize these design quest flows and mechanisms

• Front end design to Wonder Teams and Communities Snap

• Connect front end designs to data integration and Snap quest design

• Setup of quest components General QA / Testing (40 hours)

• General QA/testing throughout the different phases and milestones

The below is not included in the grant proposal scope, but will be addendum to the above as we build onchain quests:

Sponsored quests engine:

• Wonder will setup a marketplace on our platform for sponsors to create quests (i.e. activities and conditions) and add rewards/discounts for Snaps users as they complete these quests (e.g. Quest Sponsor can create a quest for their community members but also open up the quest to any Snaps users where they can earn rewards by completing tasks.

Wonder will surface an aggregated view of open quests/bounties for Snaps users so they can find relevant quests and rewards) - Sponsored quest revenue would be split between the project community, MetaSnaps platform and Wonder (who facilitate a marketplace and support for game mechanisms for sponsorships)
