Treasury Restructuring

Summary & Context

This proposal exists to alter the composition of Crypto, Culture, & Society’s (CCS/the DAO) Gnosis Safe multiple-signature treasury and empower it to complete previously budgeted payments of $LEARN and $USDC.

The sponsors of this proposal ask that all $LEARN token holders review and vote on the following structure, freedoms, and constraints for the CCS treasury in order to bridge the leadership gap between semesters. We’re motivated by and deeply aligned with the long-term health and sustainability of the DAO.

CCS is at an inflection point. We must fulfill our final obligations to Semester II contributors & learners and begin facilitating conversations about Semester III. The future is bright if we can reignite the culture of our learning community and continue pushing the intellectual boundaries of web3.

Gnosis Safe Restructuring

We are seeking approval to expand the number of treasury signers from 3 to 5 and to install signers invested in meeting CCS’s immediate needs. Later sections will detail permissions and limits on signer operations.

Changes in Composition

Rotating off: ◦Bhaumik - Focusing on Ceramic going forward ◦Liam - Focusing on NFT projects going forward

Remaining: ◦Graeme - Core Transition Contributor, Founder

Rotating on: ◦Aaron - Core Transition Contributor, Semester II Services Lead ◦Courtland - Core Transition Contributor, Semester II Electives Lead, Semester I Scholar ◦Nick - Semester II Services Lead, Treasury Committee, Semester I Experiments Lead ◦Vyara - Semester II Learner, Semester I Media Lead

Signers were nominated to represent multiple constituencies within CCS and meet criteria including DAO value alignment, fiscal responsibility, crypto savvy, high responsiveness, and willingness to contribute actively.

Finally, we hope that increasing the number of trusted signers will enhance the resilience, speed, and decentralization of near-term operations.
