Summary
This proposal exists to approve the CCS UnSemester budget and to formalize incentive structure for core and lead contributors through the first quarter of 2023. In the sections of this document, you will find the breakdown of the requested budget and the responsibilities of the co-lead role.
Introduction
Planning and execution of the CCS UnSemester has been underway for weeks now. To move to the implementation stage, the community must approve a budget to cover the cost of operations. In addition to budget approval, it is also necessary to formalize core and lead contributors to facilitate the management of the community, DAO, services, and resources.
Context
The budget requested in this proposal is what is necessary to carry out the CCS Unsemester (both retroactively and going forward). And to manage this project, at least through the first quarter of 2023, core contributors will serve as co-leads for DAO.
By voting yes to supporting this proposal, you are acknowledging your support for the following actions to be taken:
- The UnSemester budget will be approved, and money will start to flow out of the community treasury as outlined in the budget. Specifically:
- (Up to) $13,500 in stablecoin payments for contributors (including core staff), gas, and tooling costs.
- 65,000 $LEARN tokens for contributor incentives.
- Ratify Aaron and Courtland as core contributors through the first quarter of 2023.
- They would be responsible for the operations of the DAO, aligning the members on strategy, and ensuring the long-term success of the community and its programs.
- Part of their responsibilities are to encourage the core members of the DAO to elect a new leadership structure and vision before the end of their term.
Goals
- Approve the UnSemester budget and begin the distribution of funds to cover expenses and operations.
- Ratify responsibilities and role of lead to core contributors and co-leads.
- Align on areas where co-leads can make centralized decisions and where decentralized decisions need to be made.
- Establish budget available for the UnSemester and Q1 2023.
Voting
- YES - A vote of “yes” signals your consent to the DAO immediately taking all actions and adopting all measures proposed above
- NO - A vote of “no” signals your objection to some or all of the measures or actions detailed in this proposal
