HIP-44 - Add Maia as Partner & Allowlist Maia Vault

I. Introduction

This proposal adds Maia as an official Hermes Partner and allowlists the Maia Partner Vault as its associated vault.

II. Background and Rationale

Maia is a core ecosystem protocol with a long-term commitment to alignment and also integrates bHermes simplifying it's usage.

The Maia Partner Vault, recently audited by Zellic, was built to manage locked bHermes allocations in a decentralized, composable way.

III. Proposal Details

This proposal includes two actions:

1. Add Maia as a Hermes Partner
   • This officially recognizes Maia as a partner under the Hermes Partner Program.
2. Allowlist the Maia Partner Vault
   • 0x000000009239de863fb45a2577358e2073b6a0fc

IV. Implementation Plan

Once approved:

• The Maia Partner Vault will be added to the list of allowlisted partner vaults.
• The vault address will be linked to Maia’s Partner record on-chain.

V. Governance Considerations

• Security & Audit
  • The Maia Vault contract has been audited by Zellic and the codebase is open-source.
• Alignment
  • Maia has a strong track record of alignment with the Hermes ecosystem, including holding 93M bHermes, building around Hermes emissions, and participating in governance. The goal of these actions is also to further increase Maia’s bHermes holdings, strengthening alignment even more.

VI. Conclusion

This proposal recognizes Maia as a Hermes Partner aligning with the long-term goals of expanding the Hermes' partner ecosystem.
