Hoichi DAO Proposal to protect the DAO voting system from Whale manipulation:
A double voting DAO system of checks and balances to prevent a whale(s) from trying to gain control of the DAO.
A new Hoichi DAO voting system will be adopted that will require Admin approval for public proposals and public approval for Admin proposals.
To have a Hoichi vote and voice to create a proposal, a person only need hold one Hoichi token. One token is equal to one vote. Any holder can write a proposal and put it to the DAO for a vote, however after the DAO proposal passes it must also pass a 2/3rds Hoichi Masters (admin) vote to be implemented.
*Please note that ALL proposals must be submitted to the Hoichi Masters (admin) so that it can be properly published in the Hoichi DAO TG channel for all to fairly have access to the proposal and have an ample amount of time to vote in order for the proposal to be valid.
If a Hoichi master writes a proposal it must be properly published and documented for all to see and prior to being published must pass a 2/3rds admin vote, then to be passed next the public must vote and pass the proposal as well.
This system acts as a two-part system that creates a barrier for anyone creating something that may potentially harm Hoichi, Hoichi Admin and Hoichi Holders. One will keep the other in check.
Hoichi admin must approve the public holder proposals with a 2/3rds vote, and Hoichi holders must pass the admin proposals with a majority vote using the snapshot voting.
To become a Hoichi master the current and existing Hoichi admin must approve a new addition with a 2/3rds vote. Equally, so an existing Hoichi admin can be removed from the Hoichi master’s group similarly with a 2/3rds vote if an admin suspects an existing admin of being a bad actor.
One lead admin will be the lead Guardian of Hoichi for a term of 1 year and then will be voted again or rotated to a different admin. This is to help rotate the weight of the responsibility of leadership and so that no one person is burnt out with this shouldered responsibility.
A DAO although one of the most decentralized methods of community management and organization can be severely manipulated and misguided by anyone that comes to buy a majority possession of the tokens. With this new method of DAO voting system we can ensure that the Hoichi DAO voting process remains pure and for the benefit and safety of the people.
In Summary:
• Any holder can write a proposal. • Any admin can write a proposal. • To be an admin, a holder must be an active member and hold Hoichi tokens for a minimum of 6 months and be voted into the position by a 2/3rds approval of the current and existing Hoichi admin. • A proposal regardless of being drafted by a public holder or an admin must be properly published in the Hoichi DAO TG. • If a public holder writes a proposal once approved, must also receive a 2/3rds admin approval to pass. • If an admin writes a proposal, it must first be passed by a 2/3rds admin approval, then the proposal must be passed by a majority vote of all the holders. • Existing Hoichi admin in Hoichi masters will be the trusted admin, at any point in time an existing admin can be voted off the admin team with a 2/3rds vote. A new admin can be added with a 2/3rds admin vote. • There will be one lead Hoichi guardian that will serve a term of 1yr and can serve consecutive terms if teh ppl vote teh same person (hodler vote on snapshot), if they can’t they will rotate off and a new admin will be selected by a 2/3rds vote of all of the admin. (this must then be approved by hodler votes on snapshot, and will help to prevent any one person from getting burnt out.)
The lead admin will be in charge of submitting proposals and hodling tokens in their wallet for proposals. (This also helps to encourage growth and longevity, the more admin that become lead the stronger Hoichi will be, also if someone has an emergency and has to leave or passes away Hoichi has knowledgeable admin ready to take lead)
