The DAO has been receiving a lot of interest from potential new members. Currently, the way we process these applications is internally via the help of willing and able bees. There is a $20 fee that is to be paid by the individual submitting the application which will go to the bee that processed it.
I propose we create a council for processing applications within the DAO consisting of about 5 reliable & responsible bees. These bees must be able to review these applicants in a timely manner, this means reading each application and vetting each person thoroughly. Look into them, are they a good fit for the DAO? etc.
I also think we should increase the application fee a bit, but we will have a separate discussion on that topic.
The council of bees will be assigned a role, they will be responsible for processing new member applications and approving/denying them. Once the new member is approved & joins the private hive - their trial period begins, at the end of which the council decides whether or not they've proven themselves worthy of being an official Bee.
If there are any disputes or disagreements on application approvals/denials, the DAO can step in and vote to overturn the council.
Should we create a council of bees to be responsible for the processing of new applications in a timely and thorough manner?
