Re-evaluate Dealer Fees

Voting ended over 4 years agoSucceeded

Hello Bees, we have started to receive our allocations for projects DAO has invested in. The proposal has been created to revaluate Dealer fees for dealers/members who get in the deals for the DAO.

Proposal - Re-evaluate Dealer Fees

Current State - At present DAO treasury charges 7% fees in Stables/Tokens from the claims and then distributes it ahead to the bees. Dealer fees have been set at 3% of the initial raise.

Numbers - To put some numbers into the picture at $100k raise dealer will be paid 3000$. If a project does a 10x and the allocation market value is $1million then also the dealer will be paid 3000$ and if the project does not perform and the market value is $50k the dealer gets 3000$.

Current Concerns - The Dealer fees are not indicative of the efforts that have been put into network, research, setup AMAs, snapshots, proposals, and relations with the project team and should be better compensated to make the role more attractive for dealers and members to bring deals for the DAO.

Proposal - The dealer fees be changed from the current 3% of the initial raise to 1% of the fees after each claim. These will not be additional fees for bees but will come out from the treasury. Treasury fees will be modified to a split of 6% Treasury 1% Dealer (Total - 7%).

Please note this won't impact the current fees that are being paid to the DAO, it will just restructure the DAO Fees spending for the Dealers. This proposal will come into effect for all projects which contributed to Treasury in the past and the upcoming projects.

Benefits - a) Dealers are motivated to bring better quality projects since dealer fees are associated with the market price of the allocation. b) No immediate impact on treasury funds as treasury continues to pay the dealer with each claim which otherwise would have been one lumpsum payment.
