Burn or Earn

In a Burn or Earn proposal, we will vote on whether or not to use $HUBBLE from the protocol reserves. If the proposal fails, the $HUBBLE that would have been emitted, will be burned.

Earn - Proposed Tapering Schedule

The attached image displays the proposed emission schedule. This would begin just as Genesis ends. If the proposal passes, 2141 $HUBBLE will be used from the Protocol Reserves to fund this 18 day tapering event. 652 $HUBBLE and 1489 $xHUBBLE will be emitted. During this event, the emissions will decrease daily until they reach the target neutral emissions.

Burn - Failure to Pass

If this proposal fails to pass then the 2141 $HUBBLE will be burned from the reserves. This is somewhat symbolic as these $HUBBLE are not currently circulating. A new proposal will be posted immediately with reduced emissions.

TLDR If you vote For, you are voting to emit a portion of the protocol reserves. If you vote Against, you are voting to burn a portion of the protocol reserves.
