Proposal: To authorize funds for the Community Moderator team and onboard a Head Discord Moderator. The positions are paid. Cmods (community moderators) are tasked with providing community support, organizational improvements, and expansion efforts, among other community focused activities. Our recommended initial Head Cmod is Peter Espino who has already delivered significant value to community engagement during his initial trial period.
Summary: The ICHI DAO is growing and expanding, with that comes an increased demand to engage with and grow the ICHI community. We propose that securing a budget for Cmods and hiring Peter Espino as our head Cmod will better enable us to promote ICHI, reinforce community growth, increase engagement and participation, expand the base of ICHI owners, and project the reach and influence of ICHI across the extent of the decentralized economy. We anticipate that this will also better enable us to identify and develop members of the community who may be suitable to join our Ambassador program or serve the DAO in other capacities.
Abstract: Central purpose in assigning our community mods/organizers is to provide community support. Further, these ‘Cmods’ engage in expansion/outreach/onboarding efforts to ensure healthy community dynamics. This team of community ‘Cmods’ are tasked with ensuring community experience does not degrade as the ICHI DAO becomes more populated and expansive in years to come.
Motivation: Community support/moderators do not just prevent excessive ‘noise’ in the community caused by trolls, bad-actors, and confused individuals who may spam the discord without becoming familiar with the community in which they’re attempting participation. As our ICHI community expands, problems have, and will continue to arise. The task of structuring and furthermore, expanding the community in order to promote a healthy DAO is an important one. Enabling a productive and healthy community environment is critical in members interacting in an efficient manner.
Specifications: Budget: 3000 ICHI $50,000 USD worth of ICHI discretionary funds.
Compensation: 3000 ICHI to be paid to Peter Espino over the course of a year in a stream that we retain the right to halt at any point should either party determine that they wish to discontinue the contract. Terms for future members will be negotiated on a case by case basis within the confines of the allocated discretionary budget.
Conclusion: Having a community moderator team is of crucial importance to the health and growth of a vibrant and engaging community. We are extremely fortunate to already have identified an exceptionally high quality individual with a proven track record for the first position of Head Moderator. This proposal seeks to release the required funds to appropriately compensate ICHO DAO members that have the ability to add significant value to the community.
